    Making bridges – I don´t “do” technology

By chance I just found an interesting profile on aboutme (Louise), who is inspiring CREATIVE TEACHING throughout the UK. Louise McDonough is the founder of To-Be Ldt. Do Be encourages teachers to be inspiring, enterprising and innovative in their approach to teaching and learning, especially through the use of new and emerging technologies and the latest Web 2.0 tools and training workshops.
On her blog you can watch a short video with the title - I don´t “do” technology -, here to quote in extracts:

…Our children are living in a different space. A space without pressure, where they can reflect, retract and research, and repeat. They are developing in a completely different environment from previous generations, a space that is a great world for learning…

…Our children will be doing work that calls for their artistic abilities,  understandig context, abilities to work in teams, abilities to be in some sense multidisciplinary, multilingual, multicultural, not memorizing facts, but to develop the relevant literacies, like finding information, validating information, knowing how to synthesize it, leverage it, how to communicate it, know how to collaborate with it and how to problem solve with it…

…Building schools that help to become “collaborative and gregarious and brave children”…
