Let´s locate the greatest vulnerability of the „knowledge economy“. Easy. It´s ignorance. In a globalized and digitized world, we are awash in what might be called “microknowledge” (databases, financial transactions, music downloads,…) and “macroknowledge” (meaning the great forces that move history, like the impact of new ideas, mass movements and technologies, canges in social systems, the transformation of cultures,…).

The idea of this online community (www.couchsurfing.com - since 1999, CouchSurfing International Inc. - a Non-Profit Company) is not new, it has quite an interesting and eventful history.

"Sleeping with Strangers" is thought to be an experience, if it does not bother you to have strangers in your house. For example, if you want to visit a BarCamp/GreenCamp, taking place in SanFrancisco, California, but didn't want to pay for a hotel, you could search for a couchsurfer host in California who would be willing to give you a couch or bed in their home (for free) for a night, and perhaps show you some sights too! I like the idea of enforcing the world community and building bridges. Having friends all over the world is one of the great things we can have in our lives. ---Additional Video Link... on YouTube---
